What our client wanted

With several brands to manage and hundreds of hotels in the UK alone, AccorHotel’s challenge was to achieve standardisation and increase brand control and visibility, whilst reducing costs. Previously, each hotel had the responsibility for ordering their own operational and marketing print from their own supply chain. There were in excess of eighty print suppliers being used. The challenge was to control cost, timescales and to better control brand guidelines. Stock obsolescence was also a challenge for this chain, with the marketplace changing constantly.

What we gave them

We implemented an E-commerce platform (PEP), creating a bespoke catalogue for each brand, integrated into their current system and easy to use for first time users. PEP gives users the ability to browse catalogues, place and track orders and generate marketing campaigns on a local level. Dynamic templates have been created for stationery items so when a hotel logs on, their details are automatically populated from a database and this is pulled into the template. At head office level, PEP gives central marketing full control of their brand across the network.

What was the impact

Paragon Customer Communications has delivered in excess of 20% cost savings through reduced obsolescence, supplier and products rationalisation, as well as the introduction of dynamic templating. AccorHotels are now benefiting from improved visibility of their spend and the assurance that their brand guidelines are adhered to at all times by all users. The hotel group now enjoys an efficient smooth-running, managed solution that encompasses all their requirements. Due to the success with AccorHotels UK, the solution has now been replicated in AccorHotels France.
